Last Saturday evening the Lyons Elementary PTO hosted their annual Silent Auction fundraiser at Oskar Blues. Parents and community members bid on over one hundred sixty-five donated items ranging from gift certificates to vacation getaways, and they also raised their paddles for straight up contributions with the end result totaling over $24,500!

Skits, singing, playing the piano, guitar, ukulele, and violin, stand-up comedy, gymnastics, dance, martial arts, magic and even a robot demonstration; this year’s LES Talent Show had it all! Participation was high with over one hundred participants and more than fifty acts separated into two shows by grade level.

The Lyon's Elementary School's Jog-A-Thon tally is in and the results are astounding! This year's Jog-A-Thon raised $36,885.02 for LES, which is 160% more than our all-school goal of $22,500.00.

Last week was Fire Safety Week at Lyons Elementary School. The Lyons Fire District, in conjunction with the Colorado Department of Fire Prevention and Control, brought in the fire safety house from Longmont to help get the students
