To the Editor,
I have just returned from a trip to the recycling bins with my recyclables and what I saw prompted me to write this letter. There was trash piled up on the fence side next to the skateboard park and mystery trash (in large black trash bags) piled next to the cardboard bin along with other NON-RECYCLABLES. There was also shredded
paper in the paper receptacle even though the sign states “No shredded paper.” Also, it is necessary to break down cardboard boxes and put them into the corrugated board bin, not the paper bin.
Please read the signs on the bins as to what may and may not be left there.

I appreciate having the recycle bins in our town and not having to take my recyclables to Longmont or Boulder, especially with the cost of gas. If you do not want to be responsible for disposing of your own trash, what makes you think someone else wants the job? BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOURSELF!
