A big thanks to all who contributed and attended the Benefit for Chad Haakenson last Thursday night. A special thanks to Manny Vasquez and the Outlaw
Saloon, Carlton Paterson and Ma’s Pizzaria, and Anita Gray and Oskar Blues Grill and Brew. Also, thank you all who donated items for the silent auction: Leister Bowling and Atlas Flooring, Satori Glass Art, Gwynne’s Greenhouse, Christine Meisner and Cohayla Salon, The Stone Cup, Lyons Re-Runs, Cilantro Mary, Emily Forsberg Photography, Bitterbrush Cyclery, Colleen Dickes and Kathy Siddall, Tonya Bertron and The Boulder Dinner Theater, Alice Chambers Massage, The Pumphouse, Noodles and Co., Royce Smith, The Lyons Montessori School, Oskar Blues Brewery, Lyons Pinball, Candace Shepard, Nick Angelo Fine Arts, Pasta Jay’s Restaurant, Lavern Johnson, Katie Enny, Mayama Movement Studio, Gateway Auto, Leister Bowling III, Brendan Schaub, Shane Carwin, Lyons High School Wrestling Team-- and all of the donations made throughout the evening made the event a huge success. This could not have happened without the vision of two incredible women; Tyra Sutak and Karen Sutak. They are our neighbors and our wonderful friends. Thank you for all your help, you have been such a blessing to our family.
The turnout was unbelievable, the support of the town of Lyons and the community was unlike anything we had ever expected. Seeing everyone come together for Chad allowed us the opportunity to thank each of your personally for your contribution and your support. Thank you for your prayers and your blessings during this difficult time. Lyons has always been our home and will always be a special place for our family. And in times like these, there is no place like home and being with our friends, neighbors, and family.
We gladly inform you that Chad is recovering at home with family. In a few weeks he will undergo radiation and chemotherapy. In the meantime, we continue to comfort him with laughter and positive thoughts.
