Adolescent RISE
by Nicholas D. Thompson LCSW
Nov. 9, 6:30 pm, LMSHS

Adolescent RISE is a training that takes a fun and in-depth look at the developmental period of adolescence. It includes debunking myths about adolescence,

understanding the four qualities of adolescence (risk taking, individuation, social reorientation, and emotional intensity), and learning about the adolescent brain. With this foundation established, ways to work more effectively with adolescents are discussed. Additionally, adolescent wellness and the importance of making choices that will contribute to a more fulfilling and balanced life will be addressed.
