By Bonnie DiSalvo
Mother Nature fell apart
Her tears became rivers
Her pain cut up lives
And Lyons roared

All that was known
was known
no more
Mother Nature fell apart
her muddy garmets
dripped lost rocks crushed in their mourning
Her pendulous silt
heaved mud upon her children
and Lyons roared
Mother Nature
fell apart
uprooted trees pointed angry fingers
and squirrels walked bravely in the confluence
Lyons spun in muddy garments while sacred rocks
Twirled in lost debris
Mother Nature fell apart
and Lyons touched her soul.
